Obituary of Ellen M. Tomlinson

Ellen M. Tomlinson, a long-time resident of the Village of Manorhaven in Port Washington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 12th, 2020. Pre-deceased in death, by her beloved and devoted husband, Jim. Loving mother of Jim (Rita), Kevin (Karen), Anne, Ellen Walsh (Greg) and Tom. Cherished grandmother of Jimmy (Lauren), Kelly (Connor), Karolyne and Kristen. Treasured sister of Thomas and Cynthia Egan and the late Edward (Mary) and William (Carol). Born in the Bronx, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Anna Egan (nee Dwyer). Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbors and friends. Ellen was the “Chief Executive Officer” of the Tomlinson Family for over 62 years. You couldn’t find a more dedicated, determined, and loving leader, who called them as you see them, made sure you knew what was right and that you were loved beyond measure. Her stature may have been small, but her impact on all our lives was enormous. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital (stjude.org) and Operation Smile (operationsmile.org) would be appreciated.
