Like so many others, I know I would not have enjoyed the success I have had in my life were it not for "Mrs. Fields". She was an amazing lady, teacher, and mentor. She understood, and cared about her students on a level unequaled by any other educator I have known. She had the ability to see through our bluster, bravado, and toughness, in order to find, encourage, and mentor the confused, insecure young person lurking inside. She taught us all it was ok to be a little bit different, and to accept our friends, as well as ourselves, for who we are, and to always work hard at whatever we chose to do..
One of the last times I saw her, was when she was visiting the campus of the College where I was working as an administrator. I am so glad that I was able to tell her that I know I would not have been there without her help and guidance. She believed and had faith in so many of us, when others did not.
To Christine, Suzanne (hey Sue!!!), Laura, and Barney, my deepest sympathy for your tremendous loss, and also my thanks. Thanks for sharing your mother with so many of us. I hope you can find comfort in knowing how many young people she helped and guided to successful and fulfilling lives, who will always remember her fondly.

Nancy fields was the most influential person in my life ... if it wasn’t with her guidance and influence I would never have made it into college. She help me realize my dreams of being in the fashion industry, at 16 years old she took me by the hand and helped me create a curriculum that would get me into the fashion Institute of technology. She knew I had no one in my life that could give me the guidance, direction or support so she provided it for me. I went on to have a very successful and fulfilling career in the fashion industry for 35 years. This was a woman filled with hope compassion empathy And love for All those students who could not find there way. As for me I am eternally grateful..god bless her .. May she Rest In Peace...

My mentor and dear friend.
Nancy changed my life, helping and encouraging me in my career path as a DE teacher and DECA advisor. Our last phone call just recently was awesome, lots of laughs...I thought, wow, she sounds great. I’m so sad to hear about Mrs. Fields,
She was the best teacher and guidance counselor in OHS.
Without Mrs. Fields I probably wouldn’t have graduated on time.She fought for me and I will never forget her.
