I am tardy in writing this note. I simply wanted to say how much we miss working with Steve. He was a super guy and treated us very well over all the years. Leo J Dierckman, Oppenheimer Investment Management

Words cannot describe our sadness and sense of loss at Steve's passing, and we send out our heartfelt condolences to Lori and all of Steve's family and friends. Steve was that bright light at the center of all the groups he touched, and he will be greatly missed. He is irreplaceable, and we will all need to carry forward a little bit of Steve in our lives to make his legacy a living one. Our lives are so much fuller for having known him and been blessed by his friendship. It is something that binds together all of us who knew him. While our hearts are broken, we can't help but smile when we think of the LeMoyne memories, NYC outings, Vail and Saratoga trips, and other events where Steve was certain to take our gatherings to an even higher level of joy. Steve is smiling on all of us now, and we are doing our best to smile back. Our beautiful memories will make that possible.
With love, Paul and Sue Miller (LeMoyne)

I was so sad to hear about Steve's passing. I had the pleasure of working with Steve for 5 years and he was the picture of what someone in the business should be - capable and ambitious, but more importantly kind and descent. I looked up to Steve for his success and how he did it the right way. I was fortunate to have his guidance early in my career, and his friendship as I moved on. Wishing the entire Scrobe family peace.

To the Scrobe Family I like to express my deepest condolences. Steve and I met at LMC. After college we stayed in touch with each other. I was working at Bache after graduating and help him get his foot in the door as a junior broker where he started his career in the securities industry. Years later in 1997, he help me get into Oppenheimer as a trader. Where we worked together for 14 yrs and had great time together. We always laughed about our good times together in college and working on Wall st.. I will miss his friendship like so many others from LMC. I hope you rest in peace and keep eye your family from heaven.

To the entire Scrobe Family, I wish to extend my sincerest condolences.
Steve and I spent many years on the playing fields as we watched our children grow.
LOTS of laughs and great memories.
I would see Steve on the LIRR on a regular basis, and we would often sit together and catch up.
Steve was the consummate gentleman, and always had a positive outlook on life and family.
My prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Kevin Grimm
