Obituary of Rose Marie Carbone

Please share a memory of Rose to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Rose Marie Carbone of Great Neck, New York lost her valiant battle with cancer in the early morning of Monday, February 13th, 2023. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her husband, Anthony, and two children, Steven and Sarina.

Rose was born on August 22, 1965, to Joseph & Tommasa Catanzaro in Queens, New York. She was raised in Bayside and attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and Bayside High School.  She continued her education at the Wood School and started her career as an administrative assistant at Pfizer Pharmaceutical Company. In 1994 she resigned from Pfizer for what proved to be her greatest accomplishment and the most important career change of her life—becoming a full-time mother.

Rose met her husband Anthony at a local Bayside restaurant, Sizzler, in 1983. They married on September 30th, 1990, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bayside, New York. They started their life together in Great Neck and were blessed with a son, Steven, in May of 1994 and a daughter, Sarina, in April of 1998.

Rose was loved by all for her beautiful smile and infectious laugh. Everyone privileged enough to be in her presence, even if just for a moment, felt lucky to experience her radiance. She was the life of the party, lighting up every room that she walked into. She was a dedicated wife, an exceptional mother, a caring daughter, a loving sister, a thoughtful aunt, and a true friend.

The funeral will be held on Friday, February 17th, 2023, at 9:45am at St. Aloysius R.C. Church in Great Neck, New York. Burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery in Great Neck, New York.
