John was a wonderful colleague at St. Joseph's University. I served on the Faculty Interests Council with him for many years, and he was knowledgeable, compassionate, and tireless in his desire to represent the faculty's best interests. He was also kind and funny. I am praying for his family in their grief.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of playing basketball with John for decades at the NYAC. John was always a class act and so much fun to be with . I'm sure he's in heaven hitting his patented bankers.

Professor Sardelis, I will never forget your bright vibrant smile as I walked into many of your classrooms. Your true dedication to the ever changing health industry and your unconditional commitment and words of encouragement to us students never changed. When I think of St. Joes, I think of Professor Sardelis, you are forever embedded in the cloth of greatness, and will be forever missed but not forgotten.

John had a large impact on the faculty of St. Joseph's University, especially his tireless work on the Faculty Benefits Committee. The world is a little less happy and less fair without him. What a terrific colleague he has been. My thoughts and prayers go to Anne and the entire family.
