Emil was a valued member of my Indian River Seniors golf team. He was the most senior and by far the best golfer on the team. Always positive, kind and generous with his expert advice we had the privilege of his company for a couple of great seasons. We will miss him on the course and off. A real gentleman has left his mark. Rest in peace my friend.

Those we love can never be more than a thought away.
For as long as there is memory they will live forever.
Dear Cousins Debbie, Ronnie, Christopher, Robin, and your families,
dear Bonnie and family,
Our hearts and thoughts are with you during this time.
We - Tina, Hubi, Luisa, and Anna - feel profoundly blessed to have experienced Emil one last time in Denmark this summer. We also had the chance to catch a final whiff of that unique Mayer sibling essence, which all eight siblings have always exuded in their own individual yet similar ways. Whether it was a gesture, a way of thinking, or speaking... a kind of family melody that resonated within the siblings and instantly made one feel safe and at home."
With Emil's passing, we - Renate; Frank with Regina, Emil & Tilly; Tina, Hubi, Luisa, Jonathan, and Anna - bid farewell to the last of the eight beloved siblings.
We are deeply grateful for the special family legacy they left. They all shared a loving sense of family, generosity, love for freedom, kindness, and not to forget, a good dose of craftiness and humor! We take pride in being a part of this wonderfully unique, crazy family, scattered in various places across this globe. Clearly, dear Emil, you have led by example here, as an undeniable thirst for adventure undoubtedly runs in our genes as well.
Let's keep in touch with this wonderful Mayer Melody.
Love you all!
Tina

I was deeply saddened to hear about Emil's passing. He was a remarkable person - always so warm, engaging and friendly, asked interesting questions and listened to the answers. That is more than most people you meet today. I can imagine his absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew him.
I'll cherish family memories we've shared.
Big Love

Emil and I go back many years. We watched our kids grow and then the grandchildren with loving affection.
He always wanted to know how they were doing. A great joy was to play a round of golf with Emil.
I will miss his smile, his kind words and his friendship.
Rest in peace my friend.

Dear Bonnie, Debbie, Robin, Ronnie, Chris and families,
Though nothing can take away your sorrow,
may the warmth of your memories and the concern
of those who care so much about you,
bring you comfort during these difficult days.
Remember, those we love remain with us,
in the whisper of the wind,
in the sunrise of a beautiful day,
in every star that shines in the night sky -
and in every memory that we hold within our hearts.
I will remember Emil for his twinkling smiles, his mischievous and fun personality, and his incredible generosity.
I will treasure forever the memories we were able to create at our last reunion!
Love to you all!!

Our dear friend and colleague, Emil Mayer has passed.
He is now in a better place and his suffering is over.
We will always remember him as a fierce competitor, as well as a loving and compassionate friend.
In the 3 short years that we, The Schmucks of Cripple Creek, have known Emil, he had become a steadfast element of our Golf group and our daily lives. There will be a permanent gap in our foursome.
Rest in peace dear friend!

You were an awesome grandpa, and I am grateful I had you in my life. I will never forget the moments you did something special for me just to see me smile. We may not have seen each other too much, but I loved you dearly and really respected the businessman, the inventor and the survivor that you were. Thank you for making my life possible and you will be missed.
