Obituary of James Barlow

James Edward Barlow III of Long Island, New York passed away on December 2, 2023. James was 40 years old. Born in Margate, New Jersey on November 7th, 1983 to father James Edward Barlow II, who was taken too soon, and mother Margie Barlow. James and wife Megan Gleason met in 2018 and were married in June 2021. Most of James’ life was lived in the Philadelphia area before he and Megan moved to Long Island.
James was an exceptionally gentle, kind, and loving father to sons Noah, 2, and Oliver, 6 months. Friends and family members of James knew him not only for his business savviness and tech smarts, but also for his unyielding humor and infectious laugh. To say James will be missed by all of those close to him is a vast understatement.
A resilient and courageous man, James overcame many obstacles and built a successful career in the tech field. James also enjoyed an abundance of love with his wife and sons in their beautiful Long Island home. Though taken far too soon, James’ life had no shortage of success in both career and family.
James will be dearly missed by wife Megan, sons Noah and Oliver, mother Margie, sister Kari, nieces and nephews Willa, Jude, Isabella, Ava, Lola, Noelle, Addy, and Ivy, as well as cousins Amanda, Jennifer, Ricky, Phil, Randy, and Brad, and aunts and uncles Carolyn, Richard, Karen, and Michael. He will also be missed by his fur son, Norman.
May James find eternal peace in his next chapter, and may the many memories held by his loved ones bring comfort and endless laughs to those left behind.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any charitable donations be sent to Narcotics Anonymous.
