From a former maritime colleague and ex-Burlingham Underwood & Lord attorney, Clay Maitland: Bob was a very gentle, kind and competent person. Back in the day, he worked for Gene Underwood on the OCEAN EAGLE sinking outside San Juan PR , and of course other collision cases. Bob was not a boozehound, although he got dragged to the Whitehall Club by others, who did fit that description. Hail and farewell, Bob.
