The one’s we love don’t go away for ever, it is only a momentary separation…
They walk beside us everyday…
unseen, unheard, but always near,
still loved, still missed and very dear.
Ruben A Toro Jr., like his grandfather, Luis C. Heredia , lived his life like the song of Frank Sinatra, say " I did it my way "
His grandfather loved Jr. So much, we know he will take good care of him in heaven.
Ruben A. Toro Jr. Always had a smile in his face, and didn’t take life serious.
The only time, I saw Ruben Jr. Take anything serious, was the day of his wedding, when he was writing his wedding vows.
This is part of Ruben A. Toro; Jr. Legacy
We miss you. We love you. Waiting for the day we meet again in heaven. Your father & mother

My husband and I were so very sorry, saddened and shocked to read about Ruben's passing. We happened to come upon his obituary by chance on this website, while looking up service information for another, listed directly beneath his. We met Ruben during a work orientation in Atlanta, Georgia many, many years ago. While we sadly lost contact after we all left that job in Long Island and moved on to other endeavors, we remember him fondly, and enjoyed the happy and funny moments we were able to share together. We send our prayers and condolences to his family. May his bright personality and infectious spirit continue to live on in them.

To quote Rudyard Kipling -
If you can walk with Kings-nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And-which is more-you'll be a Man, my son!
Ruben, you did become that Man!
We will miss you and love you forever, our dear son.
Love, Mum & Dad

Ruben Jr. Our first born child. Born at 7 months of gestation. Via induced labor at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. Although he was barely 5 pounds he was a feisty little guy. Beautiful baby, loved bye his nursing staff. Although at times he would create tremendous havoc in the neo natal unit because he would only cry when he heard complete silence in this unit. Super hyper active wanted to crawl and turn immediately after birth. We miss you so much already. Our family will never be the same. You leave behind Deedra your wife plus 3 wonderful children to continue your legacy. Until we reunite again with our Heavenly Father in heaven. Your parents.

I'm so grateful to have met Ruben and known him in the little capacity that I did. He was often in the background of phone calls I shared with Deedra, and his nature was evidently jolly and warm. So many times, he helped me tinker through IT issues at work. He graciously came to my grandmother's funeral in 2022, where I met him properly for the first time in person and got to give him a hug. Though his loss is tragic, and his embodiment will be so missed, the world is blessed with his continuation through his three sons. To my friend Deedra, we are here for and with you now and always - your love will not diminish. Ruben's light shines on. All of my love to Ruben's family.
With Love and Gratitude for Life and Love Shared,
Mishka Viscardi
