Marlon Moreno posted a condolence

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Mr. Gat Lee. He was my landlord for 20 plus years. He was a soft-spoken man who was fair and kind to my family and me.
Mr. Lee always maintained a positive and respectful environment for his tenants. On rare occasions when we disagreed, he always treated me with the utmost courtesy and consideration. His fair and compassionate approach as landlord makes me grateful for the opportunity to have known such a remarkable individual. I will always remember Mr. Lee as a man of integrity and decency.
Please accept my deepest condolences during this difficult time. May you find solace in the memories of you husband, father, and Grandfather Mr. Gat Lee.
With sympathy,
Marlon Moreno and family

A very very kind hearted gentleman, knowledgeable and patient. I can’t forget that snowy night after game with Elie, he helped with shoveling and taught us how to maneuver the wheel on ice, thank you, Gat.
RIP. Condolences to Lee family.

My Uncle Gary, “Uncle” as we called him, was my Mom’s youngest brother. He was like a teenager in my life as my sister and I spent summers at my grandparents’ house in Jamaica. I was around 9 years old and vaguely remember Uncle listening to Paul Anka’s 1958 hit song, “Diana”. I believe he was dancing the cha-cha? Not sure… but perhaps he should stick with volleyball and table tennis, which he was truly passionate about. He was quite an ambitious athlete, professional and entrepreneur but beyond all those attributes, a great, husband, dad, and uncle. Uncle Gary will surely be missed but his memories will be cherished forever.
Here are a few photos from our last 2010 family reunion in NY. Fond memories!
