Incredible surgeon, teacher and mentor. So grateful to be one of the many surgeons trained by Dr. Beil. My condolences to the Beil family. His memory will be a blessing to all of us.

Dr Arthur R. Beil played an extremely important role in my life. He was my Chief of Surgery during my 5 years of training in surgery North Shore Hospital. Dr Beil was a surgeon of a bygone era, a quintessential professional. He was a role model for me and imparted his tremendous wisdom on me throughout my entire training. He and his wonderful wife honored me by attending my wedding 35 years ago. A picture of Dr Beil and I operating together proudly hangs on the wall in my office to this day.
Dr Beil is at Peace and his memory will live on with me forever.
My deepest condolences to the entire Beil family

As my best friend’s dad, Dr. Beil held a special place in my heart, and his loss is deeply felt. Dr. Beil's memory will forever be cherished. He will be missed by many, but his spirit lives on in the love he shared and the lives he impacted. He and Mrs. Beil were the best of the best. I loved the fact that we were "birthday buddies." Ever, True--Steph & Tim Hunter

Arthur was one of the most important people in my life. He was a mentor, role model and a truly adored friend for 55 years. He trained and educated me as a surgical resident at North Shore and subsequently offered me my first job as his Associate and partner to run the Surgical Residency Program. That position served as the foundation and stepping stone to a life long career as a Surgeon and surgical educator; something I have remained grateful for my entire life.
Over several decades we stayed as close friends and I was often included socially with his wife Nancy and their 3 children.
Many owe their well being and lives to him as a gifted Surgeon.
Many students and Surgeons are in his debt for the education, leadership, guidance and caring he afforded them.
He was truly an outstanding individual in all ways imaginable and will be remembered and missed by countless.
