Obituary of Madeline D'Elia

 Madeline was born in New York City in December 1932 and moved with her parents and siblings to Flushing NY when she was a teenager. She attended Bayside High School and entered the workforce as an assistant for Fairchild Publications .  In 1952 she married her husband , Vespasiano, and they settled down in Flushing .  Two  children followed, Sal and Roseann.  

She rejoined the work place at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in administration where she stayed until her retirement . Her husband predeceased her with his passing in 1975. 
She could be found most evenings watching her beloved NY Yankees . 
She is survived by her daughter Roseann, son Sal and daughter in law Paula . In addition she is survived by four grandchildren- Ves( Andrea ),Erin ( Michael), Kate( Alex) and Michael( Jared) and six great grandchildren -Wyatt, Colette, Maya, Leo, Ava Madeline and Sebastian all of whom share in their cherished memories of her. 
Madeline leaves a  legacy of warmth, kindness, and love in abundance . 
Her life was a testament to the beauty of a life well lived, the lives she touched and the love she shared.  Her presence will be deeply missed but her legacy will remain in the hearts of those she has left behind.
