I had the honour of working with Jo at BNP Paribas. Despite being based in London, building a strong relationship with Jo, who was across the pond, came effortlessly. Jo was not just a colleague; he was a genuinely wonderful person whose dedication and reliability shone through. Having Jo's unwavering support and knowing I could depend on him 100% was truly invaluable. I am deeply saddened by the news of his passing, and my heart goes out to Jo's family during this incredibly difficult time. He will be greatly missed.

I worked with Joe at BNP and sat next to him for three years. He was such a friendly, kind and light-hearted guy, and we had some fun times on the trading desk. I’m so shocked that he’s gone. My deepest condolences to his family.
I will miss meeting up after work with you dude. Wish we could have grabbed one more beer together…rest in peace Mr. Pradas.

With a ready smile and cheerful presence, Joe brightened the world around him. I will always have wonderful memories of our time spent together on the BNP trading desk - through ups and downs - but always positive because of Joe.
It’s been an absolute honour to work with you Joe, thank you for your friendship.

I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I was a colleague of Joe's at Scotia Bank and he never failed to be just a calm, cool and collected work friend. In the times of Work from Home I will never forget when my then 6 year old popped into a Teams call we were having called him "JoeMamma" and started talking to him. I was mortified and Joe made it our joke from then on. I will miss Joe.

Joe was always a happy face to see and smile to on Ash Drive. Having the pleasure of being his across the street neighbor is something I will always cherish. I specifically remember walking in country estates as Joe was on a morning jog. He made sure to stop, say hello and most importantly exchange a smile. He will be deeply missed and I send tremendous love and hugs to the Pradas family.

Our thoughts to his family.
I had the privilege to work together at BNPP a decade ago. We didn’t really overlap activities but we sat close enough to hang out and chat regularly. Joe was always someone that carried the trading floor with his positive attitude and big smile.

I am so fortunate to have known Joe both as a colleague at BNPP and a true friend outside of work.
I greatly miss our daily commute from Long Island to Manhattan and of course the vacations in Barbados.
Our trips to California were amazing and it was seeing Joe hit in Palm Springs I came to the realizatdion that i am an awful tennis player!
Joe will always have a special place in my heart, taken way way too soon from us.

Truly one of my favorite people I have ever known.
Too many stories to share, yet a lifetime of memories will never fill the void that has been created. I won’t mourn your death instead I will keep your memory and your legacy alive. Love you cuz…

I worked with Joe in BNPP for over 6 years (2013-2020). He was trading the NY shift while I was trading out of Asia. Despite the timezone difference, we always worked very well together. What I admired about Joe was his ability to remain calm and rational. Indeed, we had fought through several market crises and always made it out just fine. Apart from his skills as a trader, he was always a joy work with, very responsible, and very business minded.
Outside work, Joe sometimes shared snippets of his family. He, being several years ahead in life, had distilled some words of wisdom. It is a very pertinent reminder that after all the labor, it is always about the people we love.
I am deeply saddened to part ways with a friend so early. However, I take comfort that Joe lived a very fulfilling life and nurtured a beautiful family.
To Joe's family, your son/husband/dad had made an incredible impact in the world around him. His life is worth celebrating, and I can almost hear the optimist in Joe encouraging you.

We just understand…. I do not have words to describe the sorrow I have for this family! Amazing people, we are truly saddened by this news and pray for Danielle, Zach, Olivia and Jake. As a hockey family inviting us over as we just started the season and created a string bond I knew Joe was a great man! I can’t understand why Joe is taking away from his family, I am so sorry.

I worked with Joe at BNP from 2010-2016. Joe always had an optimism and an eagerness to make people smile. He was so genuinely pleasant and routinely nice that he elevated the camaraderie and teamwork of our daytime work-family of FX traders. My thoughts are with his wife and children.
