I was just thinking of Mrs. Raggio. I grew up across the street, on Hunt Lane. When I was in elementary school and sick with a fever, Mrs. Raggio, my emergency contact, picked me up from school and brought me to her house when my mom wasn't reachable. She set me up on her couch, with a pillow, blanket and food, like I was her own sick child. This was about 35 years ago, but I will never forget her kindness to me.
